Every time someone talks to you, they are out of sync because light travels faster than sound.
You see someone's lips move before you hear what they are saying. It is minute fractions of a second over short distances but it is the same reason we see lightning before we hear thunder. And because even light is not travelling instantaneously, when you see someone or something, anything, you are seeing them as they were in the past. Light travels a foot in a billionth of a second, so if your wallpaper is three feet away, you are seeing it as it was three billionths of a second ago. Which is why rico pays for drone feeds. |
