Haven’t made chips for years I must admit.  Aldi’s “The Fishmonger” battered haddock is excellent.  Often give that 20 mins in the air fryer and never disappointed. 

£3.39 for 4 ! bargain ! fish and chips from local is £8.50

You are doing very well t get F&Chips for £8.50.  Between £11 and £12 up here, and I live near the sea! 

its a small fish and small chips but more than enough for me

We only get half a fish now for that £11 to £12.  Same here by the way with regards to portions, of anything.

Nothing like Home made chips , Pan  and Basket , 9.99 In B an M  Replaced the old one I had , they are not easy to get these days due to Fire hazard I think ?

Being a londoner...was always Rock and chips...with free scratchings of course

Met a couple of old boys on holiday in Corfu who kept everyone entertained with great tales. They said that during the war their local chip shop had a notice in the window which read-Because of Hitler the fish are littler and due to Himmler the chips are similer. Most on here will have heard of this before but was good at the time. And it was around 37 years ago.
