Presumably down to Dave's "Damascus road experience" now boring us as a prolific left wing commentator on X.

I think it’s likely a clever wig as opposed to one too perfect to look real, but a wig nonetheless. Mind you things have progressed since the days of the Peter Swales hair piece.

How he got over that £300k return with the jock falling off is beyond me....that must have stung

id imagine he'd be at a swiss hair clinic if he were a successful pro rather than wigsRus

Report bettysboy January 3, 2026 1:47 PM GMT
Busyfool - what is a raspberry please?

Report werbie January 3, 2026 1:57 PM GMT
No, raspberries and figs are not closely related botanically; raspberries are in the rose family (Rosaceae) with apples and strawberries, while figs are in the mulberry family (Moraceae) with mulberries and breadfruit, but some fig varieties have a flavor profile that tastes similar to raspberries, leading to names like "Raspberry Fig".

i know raspberry is a soft fruit, dont get how Busyfool is using it in context?
Report werbie January 3, 2026 2:10 PM GMT
Maybe, Raspberry Fig = Syrup and Fig = Wig
Report Busyfool January 3, 2026 2:10 PM GMT
raspberry ripple is rhyming slang for someone like nevo who is severely disabled

Apology if he is wheelchair driven….
Report ribero1 January 3, 2026 2:39 PM GMT

Report Busyfool January 3, 2026 2:45 PM GMT
when I saw him at Waterloo station he was in a wheelchair so I assumed it was bad. Could be wrong, but I know hes been quite ill

Maybe he was just feeling a bit lazy that day

And its not a syrup
Report formoftheace January 3, 2026 2:49 PM GMT

Diabetic i think which gives him jip….
Report elise January 3, 2026 2:53 PM GMT
i don't care what he looks like but his constant erms when trying to string a few words together does my head in
Report bettysboy January 3, 2026 2:55 PM GMT
He has diabetes, can be debilitating and nerve damage is irreversible, sometimes resulting in limb amputation.
Report Busyfool January 3, 2026 2:56 PM GMT

I for one enjoyed Nevo's books about how he made a fortune backing value horses and then spaffed the lot up the wall chasing miracle Tote bets that never came off.
Report stu January 5, 2026 12:28 PM GMT
He had one massively unlucky run though on the big payoffs - I think it was James Davies that fell off on a run in to the line that would have won him a small fortune.

Would have been monster payoff, but instead a miracle loss - that would gut any of us to be fair.

He had to go a speak to the jockey later to find out what had happened.  It helped him to come to terms with it stu.
It happened to me once.  Life-changing money beaten a nose. Quite shattering experience at the time.
