down to minus 2 or 3 tonight. sunny tomorrow but temps only reaching 2-3 degrees max by 11am
I’m a couple of miles away. My garden is frozen. I’m not too hopeful unless the covers do an amazing job.
Sandown inspection passed, will still monitor after covers come off after 8-30am.
yeh a forum 30 yr fav comparing back gardens with elite sports grounds and a 100 staff,covers and money to get these grounds fit for use
No problem with veterans races but not sure we need two on the same card.no matter what’s on and what’s off you will struggle to see a worse Saturday for the remainder of the year.

I know they want to give the meeting every chance of being on, but unless you live nearby, waiting at home for an inspection result at 11.30 means most people won't be able to get there in time anyway

It's Saturday, it's on TV, you've got to give it every chance.
One thing to give it every chance but should also have a thought for those who need to travel to the course, from racegoers all the way to horses. There really needs to be a deadline that is more than an hour before the first race.
The absurdity of moving the Lingfield races back ten minutes is beyond me. Instead of having one minute races 5 mins before Sandown, we now have 5/6 minute races 5 minutes before Lingfield.
Lingfield won't survive Monday, very little of the course covered.
