Trail hunting to be banned

Racing is next.  It might even be on the downward slide now.  Kempton optioned out to builders?  Sacrilege by the Jockey Club.

Impossible to enforce on private land I would have thought.?

Maybe a case for banning foxhunting but this is way over the top imo.

Excellent news. Clearly it was being used as a smokescreen otherwise they wouldn't have done it. They will just have to find another legal way of getting their kicks. If something is made illegal you obviously can't do it, or shouldn't be doing it anywhere, as was the case with fox hunting. This should provide much needed clarity on enforcement.   

Nothing will happen to racing anytime soon, if at all. It's a sport the general public will still get involved in through betting. The general public don't have links to any form of hunting.

The public, many of whom in the countryside are employed locally and are involved and they also often work in racing and many others follow racing in the same communities because they know people who are in it and have friends and family who are, or they live near a racing yard and form an attachment to it

They would have done it because thats what they do. Restrict and persecute those they disapprove of. Its a daft (imo) but harmless pastime

I agree with busyfool I get foxes running in front of me regularly (not the same many lamping as was in the past) they are vermin and anyone for that says different is deluded
