Thurles just now - I guess that was another 1.01 trouncing - Elliotts' and Mullins' seem to fade, get pipped or fall or other costly surprises all too freqiuently .....   however has anyone got the stats on whether there are relatively more 1.01 trouncings that side of the Irish Sea than here in UK.
I keep getting burnt in Irish races though enjoy their races with bigger fields and think i should minimise my stakes with too many unpredictable outcomes and upsets there.

Nah - less than that prob!  Irish racing can be such a mess: you've got Mullins and AOB with multiple entrants sometimes and no-one knows which is ready to race or just there for 'padding' - certainly can't base your bets on form or class - again Elliotts more favoured ones grossly overbet and unreliable despite his general frequency or wins
