I saw the one with John francome which I also really enjoyed ,there as another one with francome about the top ten contributors to national hunt racing when talking about Fred winter he said Fred asked him when interviewing him what’s the lowest weight you been francome replied 7lb 3

Correct I was surprised at his thoughts on the best jockey but I must admit I thought he was top class also and often gets forgotten when talking about the best jockeys.

Walsh's 'defence' of Byrnes was the same as Fitz. Couldn't believe he would jump deliberately. That is not the same as stating that he didn't, is it. The reason why he did, is probably blind panic and fear.

Ted loves the Irish collecting the English money at Cheltenham…..he’s certainly not a fan of the Union Jack….

He is undeniably an entertaining speaker. But yes I wouldn't look to Walsh for answers regarding correcting the supposed Irish domination of racing. I'm not a fan of the presentation or the apparent collaboration with a left wing podcast, so it was my first and last.

Doubtful i will be tuning in anytime soon,not impressed tbh..

In Tramore some years ago Ted trained a non-jigger for Luke McMahon with the son, Aubrey, up that caused ructions and was referred. I was in the Turf Club/HRI when the case was heard and there was wall-to-wall TV screens showing the ride with crispest video that left no-one in any doubt that the case was a slam dunk for the stewards. Watching the video in a huddle, about 3f from home Aubrey said that an apparent stumble was his main defence and he was lucky to survive. Ted's reply was "It's a pity you didn't f****** fall off Aubrey as you'd have saved us a lot of time!"

The conclusion must be that Byrnes Snr never gave the outcome much thought

Presumably the plan would be set the pace for the winner to come breezing past. But it didn't. So what does one do with a hurdle to go and no sign of the one associates have lumped on, with only a handful of seconds to decide.

A  glance down at halfway followed by a pull up would have avoided all of this.
