Sosie Dual Group 1 winner in spring and placed in Arc in October; slow ground suits best, though
Shame on whoever wrote that RP comment!
Been saying since - that the ground at Sandown wasn’t why he ran badly that day and he’s been pidgeonholed as needing it soft!

For me the ratings and form real,y take on another dimension when horses travel. I don’t have an idea of how he’s rated but I’d call Romantic Warrior a proper horse. In that he left his back yard where he was dominant and transferred his form onto the Dirt (I know that they train on it at Sha Tin).
I was against him in the Dubai turf because of the hard race that he’d had previously. The form can be crabbed but for me he’s still a yardstick to a level.

That’s what racing should be wish he’d of come to England and that they could get Masqerade Ball here for the King George or something.

Have to appreciate good horses and we have some good races to look forwards to this summer, the KG should be a cracker if all show up.
People had typecast Sosie as needing soft ground, incorrect given his one bad run at Sandown, he didn’t like the undulations.
Last two runs in Hong Kong, one win in December (thanks Mr Fab) and a good 3rd this morning behind the horse who pushed Calandagan all the way to the line in the Japan Cup and the great dual purpose horse Romantic Warrior. Dirt of turf it makes no difference to that one.
