At the second last hurdle the winner, ONE EYE ON VEGAS, jumped left-handed slightly impeding CAST'S TASHA (IRE), placed second. After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of ONE EYE ON VEGAS.
won by a fast diminishing nose. broadsiding the one that was catching it causing it to lose momentum and track position did not improve it's placing. it won by a nose.
eh ??

they admit it slightly impeded it, but then say that did not improve it's placing.
it won a nose. did the "slightly impede" cause it less than a nose, a half nose maybe ??

are they sitting there saying yeah he's definitely impeded him, but the winners ultimately held on by a nose so there's no way it's improved his position.

knocked it's head to one side, causing it to lose it's back end. loss of momentum, and track position. and almost certainly costing it more than the losing distance of an inch.
you lost again Cag !!! will you never learn

They never touched Hulk, winner was in clear space but never mind if you think you win, I got the 7/2 on the winner and paid out even if there had been a disqual!!

^^ the stewards agree with me Cag. so you've lost again, that's twice. how much more can you take.

if you win by a nose, even if you slightly impede the other one, it has to be a disqualification. doesn't it ?
you impeded the other one, and won by the length of a kit-kat.

You have not a clue as well as being blind hulk, impeded merely means that the winner crossed in front of the 2nd, never touched it but no doubt you can provide a definitive side on photo?

the stewards have admitted it impeded the runner up. slightly or otherwise it's in the report. they have also determined this cost the 2nd less than a nose, by allowing the fptp to keep the race.

Why not just stick to facts, you said it was a massive broadside and claim the stewards agree with you. Best just leave it before you dig any deeper, sorry you lost your bet and would have still been happy had it been a massive broadside and a disqual and you getting paid as well.

No contact visible there shafter but speaking of clueless fantasists. Who started the thread and then said they never saw the race live and was then relieved that a Stewards had not been called? ROFL

And you are a genius that states a Stewards when there is none and yet never noticed it live, suggest you watch the replay multiple times and ask why the stewards disagree with you and hulk?

I had a small bet on the 2nd,as hulk and rico said,it 100% crossed its path jumping the hurdle and 100% made contact with it knocking it off balance,i fully expected a stewards and a simple reversal. To not even call a stewards yet they looked into it and made a report is beyond belief. And CagliariG you really need to stop commenting on these things because you're embarrassing yourself.

If you say so Hacken, myself and the stewards can probably live with being right with better eyesight than you and your cohorts, the 7/2 makes it bearable. lol

the stewards themselves, not me, not rico, the stewards have reported that interference took place between the first two home.
but they deemed that interference did not cost the runner up a nose. which was the winning distance.
we can all see from the pictures the runner up was turned sideways. that alone, must have cost it more than a nose.

dingwall was chucked out the other night for much less, much further out. some on here had to watch the replay 5 or 6 times to actually see what it had done. you don't need to look at those pictures 5 or 6 times to see the runner up has been impeded by the winner jumping across it.

if they'd been a bit more savvy they wouldn't have said it impeded the runner up in their report, as you are suggesting it didn't.
they said it slightly impeded the runner-up.and it only beat the runner-up by a nose.so therefore it had to be disqualified. if they'd been a bit more savvy they wouldn't have said it impeded the runner up in their report, as you are suggesting it d
Btw you are correct when you say the winner jumped across and slightly impeded the runner up but had there been a massive broadside as you and shafter claim there would have been a disqualification after a Stewards, clear daylight between them and no contact as the Stewards concluded with side on view.

but, it impeded the runner up, per the Stewards - which we can all see and we can all agree on - and only beat the runner up by a nose.

They don't run or jump in lanes so in nearly every race horses will jump across and impede other horses. So where do you draw the line? How far back do you go, 2nd last, 3rd last, 4th last?
Had it been the last would they have acted differently?
Probably they would have

i think it's all too palsy walsy here to object. they're like we would get the race, but my aunt marjorie's boffing the trainers cousins golden retriever and i wouldn't want to upset anyone.

2 from home is close enough to the finish, with a nose on the line to throw the winner out.
Imo every other racing country would have chucked the first past the post and it wouldn't have taken long..

Yes I agree but can you compare one set of stewards to another. Seen plenty jump across at the last and not change. Had that happened a Hurdle or two before, would you expect a stewards and possible change ?

if you win any race in the uk by a nose, and you've interfered (impeded, call it what you want) with the runner-up (as stated by the stewards themselves) at any point in the race (one the other night was about 3 furlongs out), you must surely lose the race.
would that not be a fairy simple decision ?

In this instance I don't agree, jumping across happens loads of times it's not the same imo of horses drifing across on the flat

Race 9 - 8:30pm THE JOIN THE MIDNITE MOVEMENT HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6)
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approximately 3 furlongs out, when the winner DINGWALL, ridden by Cara Tuke, interfered with RATING (IRE)(IRE), placed second, ridden by Jack Dace. Being a 7lb apprentice, Tuke was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider. The Stewards considered that the interference had improved the placing of DINGWALL as although the interference occurred approximately 2½ furlongs out, it was substantial in nature with RATING losing both significant ground and momentum. As a consequence of the interference, RATING (IRE) then had to switch right-handed for clear running and having turned into the home straight, proceeded to close strongly through to the line to be beaten an ever-diminishing nose. The Stewards were therefore satisfied that on the balance of probabilities, that had the interference not occurred, RATING would have finished in front of DINGWALL and therefore revised the placings as follows: First RATING (IRE), Second DINGWALL, Third REVICH, Fourth WHITELEY WAY. Tuke was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as she had moved left-handed when insufficiently clear of Dace, causing him to be badly hampered against the rail.
monday night just as they past the 3f marker dingwall edged to the rail and imo slightly checked the runner up imo costing it mebbe 1 yard.
the stewards report said > it was substantial in nature with RATING losing both significant ground and momentum. absolute nonsense.

so if you're approaching the last fence and you sense a rival challenging on ya left you just jump in front of it. and that's all ok cos its jump racing and they're not on rails guv.
