Call the milkman. And don't call the bookmaker S Little. A kite off the winnings sent a few to hm pleasure.

The only surprise about the comeback winning ride would have been if it had not won.
The race in question at Chepstow was discussed on this forum at the time. Over 23 years ago the post still remains on here. The race was a charity race and there was a ballot to see what jockey rode what horse but it transpired that Declan Murphy had ridden work on the winner Jibereen a few days before. The jockey club looked into betting patterns and as to whether other jockeys were in collusion with one another but decided an official inquiry was not needed. I would have thought Barney Curley would have known about the race as he and Murphy were very close. Well known Brighton gambler who is now warned off told loads in the city at the time the likely outcome Declan Murphy had a flat in the Brighton Marina complex and saw him there a few times and thinks he lives in Spain now. As ronnie has mentioned bookmaker Steve Little got a caning |

Thanks both, that's really helpful. Do you know where I can find the original discussion about the race? We're really trying to find footage of the race.

Cant add much in terms of Declan himself but his brother Eamom tried to make hay after his comeback. Selling tips on course for selected clients.
Totally fuc..d when asked his opinion of the nearside rail advantage at Yarmouth, dressed in a blue linen suit with white loafers, worse than Greville's safari suit. |
