Betting (successfully), if I had to sum it up in one word - is for contrarians.
You need to look at things differently or take a different approach to other people. When they're looking to pile-in, it's quite possibly the time to be getting out and when they're looking to get out, it could be an opportunity to pile-in. Sometimes it's very counter-intuitive, which people generally find difficult. In contrast, you are a classic sheep. Looking at every event in exactly the same way as everybody else, seeing the most likely outcome - and convincing yourself it's a good bet or "the value", regardless of the price. Your hilarious dalliance with AOHW/AOAW (correct scores) on the football, although catastrophic, at least exemplified a very simplistic/feeble attempt to develop yourself a little bit as a gambler, by trying something new. You recognised that looking for "certainties" couldn't possibly pay long term - but wrongly thought you could turn it around, if you could just find a way of bumping up the price on those same "certainties".  Development phase dallied with (very briefly) - and quickly abandoned, you returned (yet again) to the route taken by most hopeless addicts and long-term losers; Draw a line under the past and go back to basics with a new bank and think somehow this time, doing what you've always done will suddenly be different and successful. Wikipedia listing him as worth $1.38 billion from mainly gambling The BBC lists his wealth from gambling at over £700 million Look at all the sums mentioned how much the syndicate were mentioned winning in the current George Cottrell. Why don't you contact Tony Bloom through his star lizard site and offer your services in his defence should this matter ever reach the courts. Obviously you have cast iron facts and figures that never made that much money from gambling and that he was 'left a few quid' and that Brighton and Hove Albion football club was just'handed the club' to him.
