When racing ends I get sucked in to eat hing this nonsense. Game of chance but they believe these boxes have significance.  This guy has opened half the boxes and has three reds left.  Im buzzing

I wish Betfair would set up an "old codgers" forum. If I found myself watching daytime TV I would be found in the river.

Its preferable to nothing. It demonstrates a lack of imagination and discrimination

Daytime TV is an abomination and if you find yourself watching it you are mentally defective

In fact all TV is childrens TV

Was a guilty pleasure of mine during my Uni days. When Noel Edmonds was hosting it, the contestants all seemed deranged and out on day release. You'd need to be unemployed to sit around in a hotel for weeks waiting to get chosen. The banker just low balls them and they take negative EV offers because they're generally potless. A grim affair

It's filmed in Bristol
My daughters mother in law was on it about 10 years ago and preferred to stay at home, about 3 miles away, rather than stay in the hotel provided, with all the other contestants
She dealt at about 12 grand, but had 50 grand in her box
She was happy with that though

Noel Edmonds lived/lives about 10 miles away on the road to Bath. He bought an old taxi so that he could drive in the bus/taxi lane into Bristol and avoid the queues. He got caught, because he wasn't driving an actual working taxi and may have been fined

The guy that had the 100,000 had claimed that he’d go on in previous games. The banker low balled him on purpose to try get him to go on. Haven’t seen this week and thought that was the end of the series?

There is a knack to picking the boxes which seems to get lost on the people playing. Bringing in numbers chosen by people who haven’t been watching who’s been picking what on previous shows.

If left with 2 boxes it's positive expectation to "swap" don't ask me why

The Americans had the right idea for this show.
30 mins of air time, of which at least 8 mins were adverts.
Instead of the rabid 'Pilgrims' to open the boxes there were 22 dolly birds (can I say that now? oops) including the lovely Meghan Markle back in the day.
And no contestant ever did say 'Deal'. The faith in the American Dream you see.
Delusion crosses the pond as easily as Boeing airplanes it seems.

Despite the negative comments I like it, it’s about gambling and knowing when to fold or push on.

ASOWB - trouble is they no longer offer the swap which added an extra dimension to the mind games.

I’d likely swap too knowing that my profile doesn’t fit who they’d like to see win!!  ;)
