Market appears to be shouting that Masked Man isn't going to handle the softer ground. He would surely be favourite on a quicker surface. That said all Sticktotheplan's form is also on a quicker surface, and he has to concede weight on a track that is a completely different test to Chepstow. Not even sure the Persian War was much of a race, the second, third and fourth have all subsequently been well beaten. With those doubts I thought Jony R was worth a small interest. His form has taken a boost. Would have liked three places, but Bet 365's extra place prices have been shocking for several years now. They are less than 10/1 whereas William Hill are 14/1.

Good luck with that. The Gordon horse won very easily at Plumpton but probably did not beat much. Tricky race, so no bet for me.

Thanks, of course it might not be good enough, but I would sooner chance a couple of outsiders on a difficult day.

Another Bowen waiting ride gone wrong. You cant give good horses that much start

Questionable rides from Bowen and Skelton. It happens every Saturday to fancied horses.

Right theory, wrong horse. Mine ultimately not good enough, but false start and being a little keen didn't help him seeing the race out.
