Amateur jockey in all but name stones hands Nico DB provides us all another masterclass on Lucky Place in the 1.25 Ascot. This clueless moron who steals a living as Henderson's best mate at no point pushes the horse or goes for the whip. Then after the last the horse closes rapidly on the first 2 without any encouragement.
If Henderson had any ambition left he would sack him and beg Sean Bowen to ride his horses starting with CH in the Fighting F. on 29/11.
it didn't help, but these guys bookies favs forever - AND yes completely demolished the fence and losthardly any momentum so can't say that was the cause

uptheirons 21 Nov 25 13:50 Ploughing through a fence clearly made no difference then?
right lets get this clarified.
it was strong in market pre race 1.4 ish...no sign of a drift to signify anything wrong..it was 4L clear rounding last bend appearing going well..whilst still being nudged along the other two pass it..nico then accepted defeat..it was closing on the run in albeit under just a nudge along and it certainly did not plough through any fence.

Do you think so TTT, I thought he produced it at the right time but although it travelled okay when let down it didn't find and the winner was going away again at the finish.

i thought he was over confident. sat on it until after last. could have pushed it to lead at the last imo.i admit its far easier sitting in my lounge, but thats how it looked to me.

Moronic comment of the day from UPTHEIRONS..... Well done. Now as you're are the self proclaimed expert on this forum name any jockey in the Top 100 who wouldn't have won on Jango today?? ..... I'm waiting.
The difference between a genuine top class jockey like Sean Bowen or in the past for Henderson jocks like Barry G. and AP is that they would win the close ones, the big races and on horses which weren't the best on the day. I despair at the idiocy. Stone hands Nico guides home an easy winning fav and all is forgiven!

Newmarket, you can crticise Nico's style but,to call him "stonehands" demonstrates your total ignorance of race riding. Clearly, you know more than Hendo and his owners, You remain an obsessive, know nothing cretin

Nico is a stylist with determination. I have no issue with his riding. Or Bowen’s. Both want to win which is appealing. If Jango had been beaten today would critics have blamed Nico for a poor ride? To win well on a horse expected to win is an endearing quality.

Correct,Honcho. I have never suggested that Nico is another Ruby but,I have never flinched from backing one in a top grade event because he was the pilot. His record at the top flight speaks for itself. BTW,Newmarket was posting seconds after Nico's serious fall at Plumpton. The man is an obsessive moron

Nico has one ride today and if it wins Spurs will be on saying his grannie would have won on it but if beaten it will be Nico's fault regardless!!
Never mind stone hands,Spurs brain appears to be made of granite.

As we saw yesterday, on the rare occasions that he is on a horse with a decent chance, he can ride it. Lucky Place clearly not in a fit state to be anywhere near a racecourse.
