Hugo Palmer's gelding has been off the track for over 400 days but it's 2 year old for was pretty rock solid, probably the debut  neck second , behind the 100 plus group winner Arabie being the pick. A win at Ayr sandwiched between two seconds at Salisbury and York,   completed his first season.
Returns to the track in a class 3 tomorrow at Newcastle, 86 looks workable, apprentice takes off 5lbs. Draw okay, It's a guess if he will be fully wound up after such a long break but 9/1 best price, generally 17/2  seems fair and he looks one to take a chance on.
Could be one to keep on the right side of this winter, if they decide to go down that route.

.... I may well poach it for the Naps comp as my own selections seem to be in a different time zone lately. Grin

GL, Tom. I rarely look at cards because I often end up
with an opinion. It looks a minefield, If I had to bet
I'd go for Mr Cool, with the hope of laying a lot shorter.
I see the claimer has a good strike rate for the yard.

Good luck Tom (but not too much Laugh) Ive backed Mr Cool ew (4) at 12/1 and might have a couple more quid on here
split a couple of decent types at Kempton lto and the in-form Jack Callan takes over tonight 3-6 on AW for CJ and 4-11 turf and AW
as with this stable you are in lap of gods at times and Mr Cool might finish nearer last than first but you pays your money...

Easy winner in the end, the selection was a bit keen and folded quickly. Would need to show a bit more before I would get involved, granted it had been off for a while. Certainly didn't run to that sort of mark tonight.

On a different note, how tall is Jonny Peate ? He must struggle with his weight.
