155 rated G1 hurdler running in a 7k Beginners Chase, for top connections.

Everyone is guessing outside of contacts and connections. Obviously the trip was very short but you'd have to price up the tissue as if the connections feel he will be able to cope with it. Could easily have bucked out, made it a stamina test. But the market told everyone that was not on the agenda.

Well, some people like to try and second guess connections don't they. There is no compulsion to bet in Beginners Chases, when you don't know how the horse will cope with chasing, let alone if it's a sighter or not. But the early market/tissue has to assume everything is jiggy.

Would you have been happy to Lay at 8.0 as the 2.00 was mythical,Aberdonia?

anything up to 3.0 i would have laid.....the horse struggled to lay up over 3 miles, yes grade 1s, but add in first time over fences.....the drift would have been comforting too.....Toby Moore had one for Appleby last week..managed to lay it at 2.18, drifted to 3.5 plus and was never sighted....Yes, you get lucky some of the time, but that Applebly horse had very ordinary form and a claimer ontop..

in other news Citeh are hammering the plastic scousers.....
