Two nice pots from the front. Doyen Quest was consistently held up out the back over hurdles. Clearly he didn't need to be. I suspect there are plenty more like him. Hopefully, we might see some more attacking rides from Skelton, but I have my doubts. When you see those sort of rides it makes the races a much better watch as well.

Skelton rightly got pelters for using too much energy up too early on a lot of his mounts. He swung the other way more recently, using extreme hold up tactics quite often. Of course it should depend on the horse, the conditions on the day and the opposition. And of course, if the horse has enjoyed the application of cash!
