Hustler?

Narinder, poor in the Cash Builder. Mark offered him -3 or 105k.  He went for the higher offer and sailed through.

When Mark uncovered that Katie had begun a clandestine affair with design engineer Scott Bate, rather than ending things with his spouse he consented to attempting an open marriage.

"When Katie first came clean to me about her boyfriend, I'd had an inkling," the quizzer told The Sun at the time.

"But right from the start, my attitude was quite pragmatic - this was spilled milk, what could we do about the situation to make it OK? We had a family. We couldn't just throw that away lightly. There were other considerations," Mark shared.

Who Katy Did.

I’m astonished that you have even had to explain that irons.  Surely everybody on here had worked that out already?  What I would like to know is if any of their income comes from how often they win and how much money they save the show by doing so.  Are they financially penalised for losing is my basic question.  If so their performances are the more worthy.

They are salaried Honcho.

Ok, ta.  I still enjoy the memory of Beast Mk1 stropping like a good ‘un and storming out when he got beat in an early show.  It was classic!

Right.  He was on WWTBAM twice I think, pre Chase.  Won 32k then got a sticky one and guessed wrong.  Not nearly so well turned out in those days.

I saw that offer. It made no sense. Over £1k?

Didn’t see anything after that. I presume she took it?
Report duffy November 6, 2025 5:19 PM GMT
He offered her over the odds because she had shown that she couldn't deal with the disappointment and was about to have an emotional meltdown and they wanted her done with.
Report duffy November 6, 2025 5:23 PM GMT
DOND offers post deal are always falsely higher than value and they try to make out it was what would have been the real offer.

The other day it was something like a low blue and 75k, the deal was done and they tried to make out that the offer would have been something like 40k, total bollox
Report LoyalHoncho November 6, 2025 5:27 PM GMT
Agreed.  But then so is the whole show.
Report i_agree_with_nick November 6, 2025 5:29 PM GMT
Yes, £1,050.  I can't recall ever seeing such a generous offer.

Duffy - I only saw the first and last 10 minutes so missed her getting upset.
Report s.kenbo November 6, 2025 5:29 PM GMT
Most of the later offers I’ve seen tend to be around half the average. That one should have been £250 tops.

She's an Office Manager but was in girl band Fierce, who had a hit which reached No.3 in the charts in 2000.

Since the revamp it has always been top prize £100k wonders, don't think anyone has got close to winning it.

Just switched over from BBC Winter Olympics coverage - Lizzie Yarnold is certainly no skeleton now Laugh
