If going to type with these critical type threads, Gee Force Flyer must be a shoe in.

Didn't appear to want a hard race against the easy winner imo.

Same ride on Gee Force. Running on strongly but never put in a position to win the races. Poor riding. These aren't no hopers. 2nd fav twice.

I haven't seen these midweek rides, but well aware that's the way he rides. To me it's bordering on the cocky. If I back horses I want them somewhere near the front end. Talked about it on the Skelton thread. When it comes off people are falling over themselves, but they don't mention the losers, and who's to say if these horses had been ridden forward they wouldn't have won, and quite possibly have had an easier race.
As for Sheehan he used to be a point and fire rider for Greatrex in bumpers, but that was a few years ago. Snowden likes his horses ridden forward, not sure what he is doing on other rides. |

Have you ever heard of riding to instructions?
|
|
By:
Assessing races on instructions is pointless as we don't them, or whether any were actually given. Just work on the basis that every horse should be trying to win. If he is being told to hold up every horse because that gives the horse the best chance of winning then those instructions are very dubious.

Lot of trainers will just leave it to the jockey irons. If a trainer tells Spencer you do your own thing it'll be 5 lengths detached out the back after 100 yards.

You are free to Lay if you think it is poorly placed at the start |

The thing which really astonishes me about Spenny is how he ever was considered right by the Coolmore mob.
