With 9 days deferred for a period of six months or 200 rides, following his fourth suspension for using his whip above the permitted level within the last six months.

So Allan is going to have to learn to count whilst riding a finish, but does anyone watching Allan on daily basis agree with what panel member Rachel Spearing KC has said:

She also noted that while she had no power to direct any further conditions upon Allan's licence, in her view it would be "prudent to ensure that Mr Allan is both safe and competent to continue to resume his professional racing activities following the suspension period" and that "it shall be obvious that any further breaches and referral shall require extremely close scrutiny by the disciplinary process".

One thing to ban him for going over the limit, but to call into question his safety and competency as a rider?
