Was in the bookies this morning, as usual
A old bay, mate of mine, says to me just as I'm leaving, already done my placepots and other bets for the day...
I fancy these 3 at Bath today...
Throne hall, jax edge, bobbie dazzler
I say, that's weird, they're all 7/1 (in baldies)
So I did a 50p ew trixie plus 1 pound treble, 5 quid stake, just in case, he can find them
They all won, I think 2 of the prices has shortened to 13/2 before I put the bet on
It returned £777 plus pennies
How weird is that?

Bobby Dassler was a right old gamble, from a gambling yard. Tonguestrap on for the first time for Alison Thorpe, 5 lb claimer booked, the only horse in the race guaranteed to act on heavy, and stay the mile at Bath and not be too old to win another race. Looked properly hard fit too. |

Even then, Reg ended up having about a hundred quid running on to Bobby Dassler at 7/1 or 13/2. The SP was 3/1. Fred is not going to like that. |

Nice one Reg, just shows how luck impacts all of us. You can do all the form study the night before wait to find the going in the morning, get your bets on what you think are good things and lose the lot. Bumping into someone who gives you 3 horses he fancies (and you put them in a trixie), and they all win. Hope you give him the odd pennys as a tip, be ever better if was 77p.
