Sad news..
i lost my father to cancer.....One thing ill say on cancer, you know death is coming to your relative unless its detected late and youve only weeks. my father was a strong man, fit as a fiddle, a bulider who worked 7 days a week...He survived 3 years , but was a bag of bones at the end...It was a relief when he passed away so that he didnt have to suffer anymore. You die happy though, we were with him when he died, when you go to the hospice to basically die, happy drugs are pumped into you....He was smiling all the time, the last few days he lived. |

Thanks mate, off to Ponty today to try and maintain some normality to life. It's far too easy to sit at home contemplating things.

Thanks very much everyone, you're very kind.
A couple of winners today so enjoyable. I remain very optimistic that it'll be sorted but like most who've had cancer I guess I'll be 'looking over my shoulder' for the remainder of my life. |
