If you look at the general decline of the country as a whole,
racing hasn't changed too much. Racing at Ponte or Beverley is
still real Yorkshire for a few hours, enjoy it while you still can.

Too much racing - we've been saying it for years!
Now less horses in training and they try to put more of the stuff on (8 race maeetings).
The show need to adapt quickly when the revenue stream is destroyed by Theeves!

Yep - 74 English [incl some Irish] runners for 14 races- averaging < 6 per race, not sure of prize money while 161 in 14 races. Are the Irish horses in training really twice ours?
