Championship races with massive track biases, you can see why the yanks prefer the dirt. Gosden knew.

There used to be a few surprises when it was run at Newmarket. Perhaps a few horses over the top this time of year.

Agree swifty, tough for high numbers.

It's not very competitive is it? It's a meeting that is being 'supported' by many yards with no serious intentions for their horses; you can see that by the way the races are panning out. Shocking bad advert for the sport. I do enjoy the fact that all the evaluation of form on the telly by the 'experts' goes out the window. Wow, they can find a favourite! Not much more.

Amazing when C Hills has a winner. I always think: 'Blimey, is he still training?'

amazing how many so called soft ground horses go well on fast ground down the ascot home straight

|
By:
Yes, I thought that.

I passed over Cicero cos he looked like a soft ground horse on form. If they showed this kind of thing every weekend, racing would end up on the Comedy channels.

I love to see the rag of the field win. Hopefully a few people have chanced their arm on a few donkeys in a lucky bet. Could pay massive for minimum stake.

Simon Holt writing 200 word rants earlier in week ,saying punters should be told/warned 100,s shots are running as pacemakers and not to win

I love to see the rag of the field win.
So do I, when I can build a case for it and when I'm not being bombarded with 'CHAMPIONS DAY' rhetoric. Rags are only fun if you can find them. Meetings with short price winners and can't-find-it rags are bloody boring. |

By:

back end of flat and start of jumps is terrible for punters has been for many years
