Better this year apart from the aforementioned Plunkett. In episode 2 or 3 (can't remember which) is Paul Robson, by God he or someone backing him has shelled out some dosh on his set up. Barely has a winner, anyone up North know him? Seems a lovely bloke but worry for him.

Credit where it's due - I really enjoyed this year's offering, haven't watched them all on the fire stick.
Last year it felt pointless. like they didn't quite know what they wanted the programme to be. I enjoyed the greater 'behind the scenes' element to the latest series. |

Fear for the Northumberland trainer tbh….
Load of moderate trying to get a few quid…… Lot of sleepless and worrying…..not healthy… |

I think the northern episode was the most interesting as it featured those under the radar - Paul Robson, Craig Nichol, etc.
Looking at Paul Robson's website, there's only around 15 horses listed as in training, which appears worrying considering how large and impressive his facilities look. That was under 2024/25 season, so might not be wholly up to date, but those numbers appear well on the light side. |

I enjoyed the northern part tbh,Nicol is as hard as nails and fearless…..
Robson will have to get 30 winners plus tbh….. Built by Duncan of Persimmon homes…..multi millionaire……fancy pants establishment with moderate performers doesn’t bode well…. |
