People getting very excited about this, but in terms of quality (including the 2yo's) it hasn't been much of a season. This lot are representative of that season.
12.55 Leave alone race. Trawlerman should win, but you never know when the pace is uncertain. 1.30 Backed Siren Suit each way at a much bigger price so will probably finish fourth. He could/should improve and I doubt there are any superstars in the race. 2.05 Typical sprint race, like a level weights handicap in they just take it in turns. 2.45 Backed Quisisana each way, but not with much confidence. Better race than last year, but still not great for the Grade. 3.25 Again the mile division isn't great. Given his course form Docklands might sneak a place, but no bet. 4.05 Not much between the the top of the market. Did think about Almeric each way, but he needs to find plenty with only three places, and consequently, he is now much too short. 4.40 Backed Ebt's Guard each way, but maybe the market sees the draw as a negative. Thought about Crown Of Oaks on the other side, but he is short enough, and would probably want softer ground. Good luck |

12.55 trawlerman

12.55 Think Stay True has a chance of upsetting Trawlerman and Sweet William in receipt of 7lbs here
Doubts about ST stamina but Soumi went too soon in Leger for me, backed this win and place Bet365 have boosted fav to 11/10 which makes it a swerve imo, it could look a good price after race but happy to give Stay True a chance at 10/1 and 5/2 place on here given he has only had four runs and this trip might be his making gl chaps ![]() |

apologies it was Barzalona in Leger

Field Of Gold (15:25) and Ombudsman (16:05) is a good price double. Let's hope the races are clean; Rosallion deserves his 1st victory this season.

As I had hoped, Kalpana is a long way the best staying filly. She is just not quite good enough to beat the best colts and geldings.

![]() Minnie hawk ?? Twirl ?? |

The ones she has run against over 12 furlongs, she has beaten other than Minnie Hawk who didn't run today.

Only single figure draws had a prayer in the mile. That has almost settled the Trainers champs with O'Brien second.
|
|
By:
often is low draws straight track in the autumn because of the near side shaded by the grandstand
but the going stick readings suggested far side slowest ground of all ...what a khazi |

Great to see Penny Hills still looking well in the unsaddling.

Enormous bias when the first 3 were drawn 1,2 and 7 and none of them had the form to be in the shake up. Docklands from 12 probably comes out best on the day.

The last proper race on the Flat. Then au revoir until March 2026.

Still have the Breeders Cup, Australia, Japan and a decent 2yo race at Doncaster! Looking forward to the first Cheltenham meeting as well of course and with plenty of rain forecast, we might get more than 3 runners per race there.

Can't back Witch Hunter from that draw so just a £1 place on Holloway Boy from stall 2.

By:
& in the big crescendo the low draws spurn the far side
...impossible this place |
|

That was OK. Winner came from the worst draw though.

I bet this thing @ redcar earlier in the year as well

Winner had the worst draw? He might have done, but the idiot jocks gifted him the best draw. Typical, it's almost as if they love confusing the punter, particularly on this track.
Small profit on the day with two each-ways comfortably landed. I doubt anything ran a worse race all day than Siren Suit. Beaten out of the stalls then Havlin ran it into the ground - 18/1-5/1-12/1, almost as if someone knew that was going to happen. The Mill Reef looked an ordinary race at the time, and even more so now. As for the shocks a fair summary of a poor season. Cheerleaders scratching their heads, but if they didn't produce wall to wall cheerleading, then they might not be. |

maybe vietch paid them all to come this side

It was a strange race that handicap but the 2 that dead heated for second were drawn 1 and 2. Both of the mile races today had stalls 1 and 2 in the first 3 to finish and the odds on that being random are enormous given the size of the fields. Coming into one bunch did help Crown of Oaks but it looked a class above the rest and is worth keeping on your side. I wonder if the number of record priced winners is partly due to bookmakers following the exchanges where such big prices are normal. In my view nothing today should have been shorter than 5/2 or longer than 80/1 in the Group 1 races apart from Trawlerman who only had 4 to beat.

I ended up losing £0.84 pence! Both of the Balding winners (one at Catterick) were my only first places but 3 place only came up.

Hey sageform, would you be kind enough to reply to workrider's thread over on the Bloodstock & Breeding forum.
It's right at the top of the list of topics having been there for nine days without a single reply. Thank you. |

I have replied today-twice, so hope that has sorted it. I had not looked there for a few weeks as there seems no activity.
