in a very competitive field has this been the worst marketed so called festival in history, other than for die hard sofa serving racing channels all but 2 of the races have been ignored by MSM and their 2nd biggest race of the season the silver hurdle never got a mention on MSM tv

Couldn’t agree more 1st time first I knew about it was Tuesday and I do take plenty of interest in the fixture calendar, moving forward I hope they do a better job next year and get better luck with the ground conditions,Chepstow is a wonderful national hunt course and it would be good to see it a permanent 3 day fixture.

I disagree completely 3 days same track hasn't worked at all imo
lied about the ground to get healthy number of decs
people rock up & its g/f, good
flat course chopped up all summer looks in shocking condition for the 2nd biggest fixture the track stages
was to blame for french ship fall imo

if must be another tiresome "festival" I'd have it 2 days...chepstow saturday & ffos las sunday
run on their NH tracks fresh ground after no racing on it all summer

Never seen "good" ground there, either rough and firmish or absolute gluepot bog Welsh Grand National day. Combine that with all the undulations and camber and I would never ever run a horse there. Horrible track in every way.

I understand all the comments regarding the ground

However, a big shout out to Dragon bet for sponsoring it, and I hope they'll do the same next year, in whatever format
The owners, brothers David and James Lovell are good lads, and very good to talk to at the track. Their late father, John, opened one of the first exchange shops about 20 odd years ago in Cardiff, the brothers were only about 20 at the time but very good at the in running

Also, Chepstow racecourse did a deal where for 99 quid you'd get 2 entry tickets, a night at a Celtic Manor hotel and shuttle transport to the course.
Wish I'd known about this because I planned to go today, but temporarily without transport, instead of a 50 minute journey from Somerset, the train would have either got me there at 1030, or the next at 1530! Similar 3 hour trek getting home.

that absolute FOOKING lying koont Josh appy, saying they didn't try to conn /kid anyone  regards ground, it was advertised as good, good.sft not a mention of firm in going pre decs, why does the oxygen thief thinks there's been  loads of non runners, JOSH APP everything that's wrong with UK racing shouldbe allowed within a million miles of yet.,let alone paid to be given a public platform to LIE IN PLAIN sight to viewers and racegoers

It wouldn’t be a bad idea if Chepstow became jumps only and Leicester flat only perhaps they could swap fixtures.

Wondersobright I take your point about this year and the situation with the ground reports but as I said moving on to the future this could be a good way to get the national hunt season going it’s not really interfering with any other fixtures .
