The horses run on merit too. Any shenanigan by connections their livelihood and professional accreditation will be severely compromised and financially detrimental. Hong Kong Jockey Club runs and governs horseracing in Hong Kong like a disciplinarian on steroids. |

Spot on, Bluenose. When I lived in Vancouver I used to play the HK races via simulcast feed at the
local track. It was always very well presented. Extensive paddock coverage of each runner and presenters' faces kept to a minimum. They also have two separate feeds one in Chinese other in English As imp says the stews stand for no nonsense and write extensive reports on each race that are made public. Holding a horse up and making no effort, to get a lower handicap mark, will get a jock and trainer raked over the coals and a possible ban from HK racing altogether! |
