I have a successful back marker system in Australia targeting sections of the speed map and betting on either an individual horse or multiple horses in a race. Based strictly on the speed map no form. It is a well developed system It was a year of testing and has proven successful over the last 18 months on Australian races it is going really well
The system because it is all flat stakes works really well at BetFair prices and there is a lot of value in back markers under the right conditions combined with BetFair prices very successful.I am thinking of testing it and trying to expand on UK and USA tracks.
Question - Could someone please tell me what are the best public or paid subscription Speed Maps in the UK and USA?

ATR has speed ratings available in it's racecards. They rate from '0' to '10'
They can be useful but the problem is in British racing they so often change tactics and it's
often the case that the race itself is in no way run the way the ratings would suggest!
In Oz and US the form is very reliable in this respect. Front runners invariably front run and back-
burners invariably are in rear early. Here the reverse often as not happens!

Good example just run at Newmarket. The runner that led for half the race is the 2nd slowest early

I will provide some info and hopefully I will get some back.
If you are betting on horses this summer in Australia the most important rule if you are betting on a back marker is do not bet on the back marker on a Track rated a Good 3
No Good 3 because on Australian racecourses it is too hard to make up ground on Good 3.Tracks here in Aus can become rock hard like a skating rink on a Good 3 and leaders can just shoot away just keeping running. If you are having a bet in Australia during the summer and your horse gets back make sure it is not a Good 3 rated track
Especially on a straight less than 400 meters. Good 3 rated tracks are a disaster for back markers I could show you a 1000 examples and a tonne of stats

That's right ais.. However the trainer can change tactics provided he informs the Stewards beforehand,

So if a front runner "misses it" as they do over here on a regular basis, or if a hold up horse pings and pulls early are you saying the trainer gets pulled in?
Kameko once pinged and Murphy gave up the lead and the prized rail to the eventual winner. If luck favours you at the start go for it is my advice.

If they miss the kick or are in an outside barrier and have to ease back no problem no questions asked.But if a known front runner jumps well and they ease back to last or a known back marker tears away to lead Questions get asked.

Well I'll look to be losing plenty ground early, find a wall of horses, jig about a a little bit for appearances...oh no, the money's down on this one, scrap that....
In races from a 1000 m to 2000 m the Speed Map and how races are going to be run is crucial.
Change of tactics announcements can change the entire market. In some cases Hundreds of thousands of dollars can change hands and move the whole market based off a change of tactics announcement
If it is a slow tempo race and a horse announced it is going to be ridden more forward the whole market can change

I think Commission is 8% on winnings. To be honest when a horse is 12 to 1 with corporates and 17 to 1 with BetFair I can live with 8%
