Brussels (13:15) at 7/4? On his latest form he'd be a near cert. But, this is horseracing, and a near cert is only a hope, rather than a fact. Tread with caution.

Brussels is drifting slightly. You'd be hoping AO'B and Wootton Bassett can work the oracle between them. His family has been OK but disappointing. Again, though, Brussels has a better sire and trainer. Of course, he is also stepping down in class and trip since his Middle Park second. It rather smacks of desperation to get a win this term.

Damn. Missed the race as too busy explaining why I wasn't backing Brussels.

No harm done.
Brussels tracked the front two, then came to challenge; he'd have headed the front two (I think), but Buick's horse finished the stronger on the far side. Brussels is a difficult horse to win; backers beware in his next outing. |
