I never bet a recent wind job horse.  They are fishing in the dark.  There are several variation of the op.  You’ll be surprised when you look it up.
If one in a couple of hundred go in so what?
Avoid them is my advice.

I use a wind op last time out as one element of 8 x criteria designed to steer me a million miles away from needing a personal opinion in any race but only apply it to double digit selections and almost certainly backed up at least one of the other 7 , so effectively a tick box exercise making the horse select itself with just reading a narrative required , all qualified bets placed within the 2 mins before off time.

Worked for me for a decade but each to their own    Happy

NH Only to 50/1
Must have ran before
Not 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Last time out.
0 or 1 run since wind op

Simples.
Problem is strike  rate of just 10.66 pcent
5 and 6yr olds give better results (11.88% SR)

Hayden's tick-box method works for him..only two criteria need to be met..

Biggest pitfall for punters top2r is when they need apply a personal opinion so in my view it's best to find a strategy that works with plenty of criteria then let the horses pick themselves , mimic all you like but think it through first as just because you stand alone it doesn't necessarily mean you're standing in the wrong place.

How many of the accepted 98% figure of losing punters use their own personal opinion and/or occasionally follow someone else , i'd say 98%.

Well done.  Once used to do something similar about big events, not just racing and still do on occasion. Home made analysis.  It threw up Bruce Hartman in the Open this year at 180.0 who shortened considerably on Day 2.  But it needs in depth research and work and circs. don’t lend themselves to the time nowadays.

They don’t hobday now, cardinal, unless it’s wind is shot
I had one done 10 yesrs back, went along with tge horse,
Equine hospital in Newmarket, they were quarterising its palate

Put scope down, with camera and a laser, hé just started making
Random incisions With thé laser, ‘well put one here, one there’
The laser incisions woukd create a burn effect, I counted 12,

You crack on with the horse, it made absolutely no difference whatsoever
