Iamimmaculate landed a sustained gamble (morning 33s, returned 9/2) to win Naas’ Irish Stallion Farms EBF Claiming Maiden today, registering a second such result at the course for his young trainer Danny McLoughlin.

Curragh-based McLoughlin, 23 and who combines work as assistant to trainer Danny Murphy, previously registered a first success in May 2024 at today’s Kildare course with Duckadilly, who scored at odds of 11/2 having then opened 50/1.

Today, Iamimmaculate was trimmed from 33/1 this morning to 8/1 and, more substantially on-course, was further supported to 9/2 second-favourite behind 15/8 favourite Ipanema Beach whom he defeated by 1.25 lengths.

Regarding the Ringfort Stud Limited-owned gelding, successful jockey Ben Coen, who was recording a double, reported “he’s a nice colt.

“He was green the first day over six and stepped up to a mile today. He’s still quite raw but when we met the rising ground, he pulled it out. He handled the ground and is a nice horse going forward.”

Winner Iamimmaculate was later claimed for €25,000 by Ger O’Leary, while runner-up Ipanema Beach was bought for €20,000 by James McAuley

I hadn't heard of him, unsurprisingly as he's only 23, but someone has certainly taught him how to get one ready. Had a good look at this race beforehand as i thought Ipanema Beach might be beatable but didn't look at the winner deep enough but it's debut run had already produced a good winner in Redemption Road who was only just in front of it and later on yesterday the horse RR beat came out and won its maiden for Meade.
  Must remember his name in future as had a few go close on debut runs 80/1 Pipers Call for one, Magny Cours won on 2 yo debut at 15/2 after opening 11/1 on course, also ran 2nd in 114k sales race at Curragh on Saturday behind Burkes Alparsian netting 47k for owner.

Another 12/1 winner today, had no form to speak of, 1st time in h'cap. 2 runs in maidens at 100/1 and 200/1 btn 14 lengths, knows what he's doing this lad. Pity didn't notice beforehand.
