What the hell was that - did he think he was riding Pegasus.

Cobden and Durrell should both get bans but they won't. schooling in public.
By:
Filth, rancid, ban for life only answer
By:
Wouldn't you love to know what his actual instructions were?
By:
I didn't post this about this ride, but....

By:
anyone...was that much worse than hillsin iyo?
By:
*better

By:
He will win another race and then the fanboys will come back crowing about how great a rider he is...
By:
Cobden has just completely dropped off my riders to trust.
By:
Bally good horseman
By:
That was disgusting, again nothing will be done and silence from every single gravy train pundit, that is a cert
By:
My view is it wasn't as bad as Hillsin as that was clearly a 'don't win under any circumstances' ride. This one, they didn't care whether they won or lost. They just wanted it to give him a nice experience and get him settled. Still should result in a lengthy ban as wasn't put in the race with a chance and effectively schooled in public but still not as bad.

Surely now we must admit Sean Bowen is a breath of fresh air. Strong and intelligent with a will to win. Too many big egos now in the saddle.
By:
I’ve seen enough Bowen family efforts to disagree
By:
No wonder people givin up, cowards at the top with bottom licking media, Harry Favershams, the lot of them, White Feathers in the post
By:
Anybody who thinks Cobden "stopped" the fav doesn't understand racing at all.
He was clearly told to try to settle the horse which failed off a crawl I have never been a fan of Tom the Teeth and the horse was far too fresh |
By:
Ta.
By:
How do you know he was told to settle it?
By:
it was stopped from running on its merits
whether nefarious or not another debate |
By:
horses settle better for a loose rein & going even pace anyway so if no pace on at all (ie today) then not fighting always best
By:
..and this one was a staying PTP one, so no stamina doubts!
By:
Irons - there's 'settling a horse', falling asleep, not caring and stopping one. If that was 'settling' the Stewards should delare it a non-runner as it had no chance - i call it very poor jockey ship [not that ive ever ridden a horse unless u include the one pulling the milk cart when i was a bit younger] and daylight robbery!
By:
Off a loose rein the horse would likely have been in font after half a mile
![]() He rode it exactly the same when he won at Newbury |
By:
Bumper win, slow pace, never pulled, just travel very well
By:
Never put in the race.
By:
My sympathies are with the fav backers but I place the blame on Tom the Teeth
