Cobden and Durrell should both get bans but they won't. schooling in public.

My view is it wasn't as bad as Hillsin as that was clearly a 'don't win under any circumstances' ride. This one, they didn't care whether they won or lost. They just wanted it to give him a nice experience and get him settled. Still should result in a lengthy ban as wasn't put in the race with a chance and effectively schooled in public but still not as bad.

Surely now we must admit Sean Bowen is a breath of fresh air. Strong and intelligent with a will to win. Too many big egos now in the saddle.

Anybody who thinks Cobden "stopped" the fav doesn't understand racing at all.
He was clearly told to try to settle the horse which failed off a crawl
I have never been a fan of Tom the Teeth and the horse was far too fresh

By:

it was stopped from running on its merits
whether nefarious or not another debate

horses settle better for a loose rein & going even pace anyway so if no pace on at all (ie today) then not fighting always best

Irons - there's 'settling a horse', falling asleep, not caring and stopping one. If that was 'settling' the Stewards should delare it a non-runner as it had no chance - i call it very poor jockey ship [not that ive ever ridden a horse unless u include the one pulling the milk cart when i was a bit younger] and daylight robbery!

Off a loose rein the horse would likely have been in font after half a mileLaugh
He rode it exactly the same when he won at Newbury
