I have had an account with BET 365 for 25 years. No problem, no disputes. I only bet on horse-racing..small bets..no casino/football. My last 2 bets, both £4, both lost. I only had 3 or 4 pound in my account, so I deposited £30. Shortly after I was told that my account was "restricted" which obviously meant closed, as I couldn't place a bet.
I am 82 yrs. old, live in Cornwall, and cannot go racing. I really enjoyed the free Saturday comps., 6 winners/6 scores...never won anything. I then found that I was blocked from logging in to my account, so couldn't "chat" to anyone, even a robot. The Bet 365 telephone "helpline" does not discuss queries !!
How do I access my funds for withdrawal ? Why have Bet 365 given me no reasons ? Why have they done this? . Also, is this legal?

365 threw a right paddy due to my vpn, it's worth trying the workaround to see if it helps anyway, using the mobile app (if possible).

Sorry, Cider. Not too smart on computer language. I seem to remember a mention generally some months ago about vpn, but don't think I got involved. Wouldn't that have affected other things also?

I feel for you 'nerium'. I only bet antepost, and promotions with them these days. I've been restricted to £1 for their 'superboost'. You'd try emailing Ms Coates. This usually brings a quick and positive response.

Typically, no. Most servers don't identify it but 365 definitely does.
But you wouldn't be using one without knowing it, or someone setting it up for you. It was a long shot but many more people are using a vpn since the 'online safety' act was enforced. |

Yes you can't even log in to Bet356 with a VPN turned on , not so with the likes of Billies and a few others

Thanks.....and Freddie, I know that and have accounts for similar bets with Betfair and Ladbrokes, but are you suggesting I should just let 365 keep my thirty-odd quid?

Have they ever asked you to provide proof of income (Bank Statements etc) and you haven't responded?

ive been blocked as well, but if you go on bet365 site, top right corner " Help", you can access chat with them

id just check your emails and junk mail and see if they've asked for info, you may just need to verify details especially if it's been a while since you deposited

They did the same to me a couple of years back - I'd guess like me you don't use their casino or fruit machines, prob moderately successful so they get rid under some made up nonsense.

Regarding the vpn stuff... I've just got back from Spain for the 5th time this year, not boasting, just to give it some substance...
All I do for Bet356 and this place is to turn off WiFi and bet away to my hearts content... Never had a problem |

Taking what you have said at face value this is a horrible story.
I can only speak as I find, they might not be as good as they have been, but for me they remain the best of the bunch. As someone suggested try and get the CEO's email and tell your story - you bet small and this is your bit of fun. Hope your account is re-instated, but at the very least your money is returned. I have just clicked on the Bet 365 website to see if an earlier poster was correct and the "help" would be available and...Lo and behold. I am allowed to log in, and withdraw my £32.14 ! Now, whether this shows the power of the forum, and my post has been noted I do not know. My account is still restricted, but how I will only know if I try to bet. I will tomorrow check this vpn business out. Differentdrum, thanks, they were my go-to bookmaker for years until this. The posters saying..use another bookmaker are def. missing my point. To all else...Cider etc....cheers.

Was sitting poker table Vegas 2 weeks ago, bloke next to me saw my tattoo so knew I was English, we had long chat, he said he works 365 and we chat about restrictions etc, he say if punters play a bit of everything they rarely restrict them, its the punters who only punt on 1 or 2 sports they look at closely, no idea if thats true but he seemed genuine

i used to bet on restricted stakes with 365 on snooker, cricket, soccer, accas, horse racing , rugby, and got closed down and i was an overall loser

They closed your account because they do not want to provide a'service' to allow you to enjoy your betting because you dont 'pay' enough for it.
It looks like you will have a lot of bets per week. They deem that they are providing a service for peanuts hence you are terminated. Happens across the industry. |
