I often keep an eye on inrunning on purple as there can often be a few crumbs on offer - but last few days the processing of bets seem to be hanging for 5/10 secs.

Anyone else notice this?

I think past few days they've been leaving more than a few crumbs. An example would be Cloudbuster earlier was 3/1 until last 200 yards and it sluiced in.  I haven't noticed the delay but have only placed a few in running.

I've noticed my cancelled bets not disappearing off the screen straight away.  I presume it was a display update issue rather than a cancelling issue.

ive just checked and it is fine for me using BA, is this a problem you have on a browser?

actually change that, it was fine entering low bets, as soon as i went for the prices it appears they are not there and there's a lag in the bet hitting the market

Thats it, something might be 2.2 to back, you try and take it and your bet hangs and by the time it hits the screen the 2.2 disapears and your 2.2 sits in the system (for 5/10 secs) even though you cancel it.

Bets have definitely been disappearing from my bets list, just not disappearing off the grid straight away.

Have noticed problems on the cricket markets over the last couple of days. At particularly busy times (eg. when there is a wicket) the prices have been freezing for a good few seconds before correcting. I first noticed it on Gruss so put the website on a separate laptop and the price freezes corresponded on both (so it is therefore a Purple problem and not a Gruss problem).

pre race is pinging in fine and matching no issues, once in play it was fine for apprx 2mins, then the prices are garbage and you won't match what is being shown, further it goes the more bollx it is

winner at tra crossed the line with 1.86 in the back box and the 2nd 2.04 to lay

Yah I done a little experiment in that last race at tramore, 1.5 is there to back the fav, I type in 1.1 and even though the 1.5 doesnt move off the screen, I am matched at 1.1. So the prices that are up dont really exist as there is such a lag.

I thought the only people using the 'daq were PC payers on here who wanted an alternative?

Last time I looked (admittedly a long while ago) the money appeared to be mirrored off BF at slightly worse prices, so no point for me (as a non PC/EF payer) when BF is up, and when BF is down, the money all vanishes so not a useful emergency fallback.

Have I missed anything since I last looked?

it's mirroring, but when it goes in play prices appear later in the race that are spoof numbers

so basically
just same as ere
By:

When: 14 Aug 25 19:20
at that point it's no longer mirroring, sry wasn't clear

Its not all spoof and mirrors - maybe about 90% is, but theres often a few real bets up in the system that can be out of sync with here.

Also offers 3 to place on 5 runner races, which again can be interesting market as theres no alternative on here (anymore)

maybe hidden amongst yes but everything showing bigger on pru i went for was landing with the money still showing in the box but no match, i tried another race 10 mins back and the leader on bf was mid 2s yet daq was 6s, stayed like that some time

did we not have something similar on here a couple of yrs back where the x matcher was chucking up fictional bets? can't rem what it was
By:

that still happens every now and then on small fields jump races, when theres been a few fallers. say 3 to place 6 runners and theres only 2 going.

Purple have been running their own form of PC for nearly 10 years Longbridge. I started a thread about it here and there are others:

Obviously, I very rarely use Purple.

I finished with Purple a few months ago, the bots there are worse than on here. The only time they were useful when Betfair was down as only a few players (no bots) there and some small bets could be accommodated.

The rep for the purple site Enda Kendrick is on twitter and always very helpful, so perhaps he can answer any questions, but be hasty as I think he is leaving at the end of the month.

JML - interesting reading that. whatever was going on last year when the majority of those comments were posted is reacuring again.

If it is happening again today I will contact purple and see what they say. I dont use twitter so wont be able to contact Enda (cheers though G Hall)

Rico "there are people currently in Rampton who thought they could win betting IR on daq.

It shows how bad things have become on here. I've started my exit process: off purple, cancelled Racinguk, more days off. I'll hit a milestone of 70 years betting in a couple of years time and after that , if I have reached that point, I think I may stop all together or just do Saturdays and the big meetings.

IR is basically finished..100% controlled by technology...its a wages game if you're skillful.

The purple crowd are now and have always been pathetic. The only reason anyone would use them is if they had to pay pc with this mob here
