Classic example of the old school grafter….
Hope he pulls through… |

He must be be getting on a bit, body cannot take it. Gordon Richards out of action for months after a horse fall.
Fingers crossed for him. |

I saw him at Lingfield on Saturday evening, he was 78 on Sunday

Thanks mr c.
I can remember talking to him in the O&T lounge at Wolverhampton, just before they put the Tapeta down. Said he had offered the COC £20/ton for some of the old sand surface to relay his own gallops with. Obviously an enterprising gentleman and good to listen to as well. |

Any falls take longer to get over with age.
Best wishes Bill |

By:
I cant believe he wis still riding Racehorses at that age its asking for trouble....I hope he gets well soon and stays out of the saddle.

If the average forumite had a clue about how unpredictable and dangerous horses are they might just take a backward step with unfounded and uneducated criticism of jockeys
|

By:
He fractured his skull, a terrible injury especially at his age.
Fingers crossed for him he pulls through. |
|
By:
yes my thoughts go out to him he's a really nice guy who gives you his time at the race track.

How are things with you TSD?
|
|
By:
thanks for asking how i am. I have a rare form of cancer called Myelofibrosis, unfortunately it's incurable.
But i will keep fighting until i cant. The doctors give me injections in my belly every two weeks to help with my anaemia as i am high risk they tell me. i also take Momelotinib tablets every night. luckily I don't have to pay for them as they're 20,000 a month, im winning betting but not that much LoL. I honestly dont know how long i have left, the doctors don't know either. As i said i will keep fighting until i cant. I'm hoping to go to Plumpton when it starts up again, fingers crossed. Once again thanks for asking. T.D |

Insurance policy cover poor Bill against injury (or worse, hopefully not) if he wasn't wearing a safety hat?
|
|
By:
Here's hoping , have had 3 major concussions over the years from riding and it was only then that they discovered an old brain bleed from rugby as a kid . Racing and head injuries cant be treated too seriously .
