but at this extended 6f trip I just prefer the claims of Woodshauna who is also nearly twice the price which seals the deal. He might get going to late, or just not be in the same league as Lazzat, but hopefully Soumi can time it to perfection like last time in the Jean Prat.

Did anyone see the interview with Reynier on @ da races during the week?
|
|
By:
Lazzat is clearly a lay at 4-6. Wrong price. Far too short.
|
|
By:
lazzat obviously the one to beat but at odds on I gotta take him on and not a lot of margin for error over these sprint trips may well win but not for me . at biggish odds I can have 3 win pops and give myself a chance of a decent payout ok it dilutes it a bit but that's fine by me I and sajir not a lot to find on ratings this trip should suit bit to find on form but these sprinters seem to take turns winning and with a good yard and decent prices around 33s on here .also symbol of honour got a bit to find ascot form but that was on good to firm and he went off at 4/1 that day around 25/1 or bigger on here looks big imo .also a win bet on woodshauna who is in form and may be improving markedly around 16/1 plus on here .good luck all .

Thanks Foyles as usual great write up. I didn’t fancy the fav so did a £5 each way on your woodshauna cheers? But is it me but here or in France and Ireland quite a few well backed favs on these big races have been beaten this year seems to be quite a few is it down to the quality this flat season?

Where is Habibti when we need him? Have we even had sprinters like the present? I cannot even name a sprinter that wins 2 consecutive races.

80 in December…
Discreet in July. Brilliant in August. André Fabre is the man of this early meeting in Deauville. Last month, the coach presented only 36 starters for 5 wins. Was it due to a virus? Or simply a transition period to better prepare for the summer meeting in Deauville? His discretion will not allow us to put these questions into words, but every informed observer has probably already asked himself this question. Because, since the year 1986, never before had the master of Cantilian realized such a timid month of July. On the other hand, never had he experienced such a prolific start to the month of August. On the evening of August 9, he had 13 wins out of 32, or 41% success at the win, with moves of 3 on August 2, 5 and 8… |

danaho my take on it is obviously a lot of favs win and many take a lot of notice what the media /tipsters /write ups tell ya but every race is different and we know like us they are not machines so wont run to the same level every time ,to me and many others its all about the price to chance and there was only about 10 pound between the whole field on ratings and the price of the fav made the odds of the others look inflated imo. that's the way I try to look at races most of the time the front 3 or 4 will win but not all the time.

so colours, names, nans fav name etc work just as well ?

Form was there and it was mad that he was the outsider of the field.
Was drawn 8 of 10 when Lazzat beat him 2 and a bit lengths over 7f when he was drawn 2. Sajir has won once over 7f a weak race, trip (distance) and track today were perfect. A great ride by Murphy from a wide draw. The form of the race mentioned (Prix Paul de Moussac (Group 3) was franked in the Jean Pratt next time out by Puchkine. |

I don't know 1tp I'm saying what works for me on occasions ! I will obviously have more than my fair share of losers backing at the prices I do . I try to keep it simple I don't bother with times or really detailed form study as I've done all that in the past and done my bollax for years doing all that .obviously I do a bit of research into form but as I usually state in my posts a lot of luck and guesswork required , one thing I stopped doing was taking notice of write ups as I found they could sway you into their way of thinking or put you off something you might fancy with comments like needs to find a lot etc . not everyone's cup of tea but there you go.

Well take the winner out and the race went exactly as I expected with Woodshauna just failing to catch Lazzat.
I wouldn’t have backed Sajir at 66/1 given his form so fair play to Fabre and Oisin - maybe there was a better strip of ground up the middle. Well done Foyles. |

this looks a good race to play a shorties fav who could be anything stepping up in class ,going with 3 decent priced win pokes again and madero looks a big price decent run last time yard in good form around 40s on here .also heyabiti has been keeping top company and this class could suit better 50s plus also if the fav could be anything so could khafiz who has a similar profile and a much bigger price around 17 or bigger on here.prob going to the well to often but am well in front so onwards an upwards .

Thanks Foyles for your insight…I don’t tend to take much notice of media or tipsters apart from yourself lol… But trainers and owners this year have all been really bullish in my opinion bigging up their horses saying how good their horses are then they blow out but we should be be trusting them to give us genuine honest feedback but this season quite a few best horses I’ve ever had since blah blah have all not lived up to their hype given to them by their trainers just seems a bad season for all those well established trainers talking up horses who are not living up to their potential…

“I always felt Sajir was the horse to fear at Royal Ascot but, of course, he was withdrawn at the start,” said Reynier.
“When he was withdrawn I felt that was one of the toughest parts of the opposition out of the way, because on fast ground he's a really good horse.‘ |

The PRIX DAPHNIS 4:15 where the Haggas unbeaten Scoville 4/6 was trounced, had been marked in as Opera Bello’s next start, looks like they are ready to go to GP1 as he skipped and is in the Marois next Sunday.
