An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference from approaching the final furlong involving, the winner, CORINTH, ridden by Oisin Murphy and LOZ VEGAS (IRE), placed second, ridden by Harry Davies. The Stewards considered that the interference had improved the placing of CORINTH as approaching the final furlong, CORINTH who was racing green, lugged slightly right-handed resulting in Davies steadying LOZ VEGAS (IRE); thereafter CORINTH rolled right-handed again approaching the final half furlong marker, resulting in LOZ VEGAS (IRE) becoming unbalanced. Having overcame the first two incidents, LOZ VEGAS (IRE) with an established run, had improved alongside CORINTH and was bumped and severely unbalanced against the rail on the run to the line losing its position. The Stewards were of the opinion that LOZ VEGAS (IRE) would have finished in front of CORINTH with an uninterrupted run to the line and therefore revised the places as follows: First- LOZ VEGAS (IRE), Second- CORINTH, Third- HENRY LAWSON (IRE) and Fourth- GAVRIEL. The interference was found to be accidental and caused by CORINTH racing green.

Mics told them they were talking sh!t and the places remained unaltered.

It was a concert night at sandown tonight with the appropriate crowd attending. Few of those were going to bother with an 8/15 favourite. But the roar from the crowd when the stewards was announced was incredible. It is lazy to say "half the crowd were on ..." but , my word, an awful lot were on the 40/1 shot f0r a few £. I sit just past the post on the lawn and there were 20+ people there. Every single one of them stood up and cheered! I had no bet. They were bringing back wads of £. I suspect a perfectly dreadful result for course bookies. One mans meat etc etc . Correct decision imho.

How can they be sure it would have won , oisin horse far better bred plus green and u could see it was would have pulled out more if needed , poor decision by stewards to give nod to bookies , oisin wasn't doing tap in front and would have won hand and heels , and Davies had no right to go up oisin inside either

Reigns are for steering according to Ruby Walsh…..
Ruby can’t understand why they allow them to drift unless there’s a problem with tack…
You can’t argue with Ruby…..

Personally feel that if young Harry had committed the same offence as Murphy he would have been made an example of i can't agree with those who feel Murphys actions weren't intentional the rear view makes it very compelling to me

I found it during my nightly catch up with the mad earth….
Rico & Co,you wouldn’t belt your car if it was bearing right on the highway, you would used the left hand to straighten and avoid the head on…
Similar scenario according to the top horseman….

Murphy weighs 8stone 4lbs and the horse nearly half a ton. If the horse is determined to go one way there is only one outcome. He tried his best to correct it and failed to do so hence the result being revised. To describe Aceform as a halfwit would be charitable, A lack of knowledge never prevents him from spouting absolute nonsense. Take a look at Might Bite in the 2017 RSA Chase finish. I would not dream of arguing about an HGV issue with him. Your example penzance is also absolutely correct. Do I expect the obdurate halfwit to accept he is wrong

Quixall, a horse does not have a steering rack attached to its legs. It was flat out at about 40 mph, 500 kg hanging into the camber in a very short space of time, would have taken further to straighten up by pulling on the rein and that signal reaching the horses brain and then its legs.
A bit like you having a blowout in your tanker and swerving, even with your steering wheel and power assisted steering rack you could not straighten it immediately, could you?
