Head down, horse veering across the track Crazy

I had no financial interest in the race.

That was very poor riding, no genuine attempt to correct the horse, and takes out the jolly Plain

Where's Mics when you need him Grin

He could have won every other race on the card. Still doesn't impact his riding of Shinara, and complete lack of effort to try and keep it running broadly in a straight line.

An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approximately 2 furlongs out when SHINARA (IRE), placed third, ridden by Silvestre De Sousa interfered with JEWELRY (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Tom Marquand. The Stewards considered that the interference had improved SHINARA (IRE)’s placing as SHINARA (IRE) drifted left-handed for a sustained period from approximately 2 furlongs out until the final furlong, taking JEWELRY (IRE) significantly off its intended line, causing the filly to lose ground and become unbalanced when coming for a run to the outside of SHINARA (IRE), with the distance at the line being a short head. The placings were revised as follows: First- PETULA, Second- RIBENSKA (IRE), Third- JEWELRY (IRE) and Fourth- SHINARA (IRE). Silvestre De Sousa was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed for a sustained period without timely correction taking JEWELRY (IRE) significantly off its intended line.

2 days is pretty fortunate

I'm not trying to influence the stewards. You get pocket talking moans about jockeys on here all the time, misdirected criticism. On this occasion, we had a multiple champion jockey who failed to ride in a straight line, looking like a novice claimer, and took the odds on fav out of the race. Deserved a thread in my view, it was bizarre.
