The late 50-cent pick five that paid $476,322 to a single ticket at Del Mar on Thursday was purchased for $108,000 by a computer assisted wagering account, according to a track official. No further details on the composition of the ticket were made available.

A Del Mar official reached out moments ago to clarify that the $476,322 winning ticket on Thursday’s 50-cent late pick five was purchased by a CAW bettor who spent $108,000 on “thousands of different tickets and combinations.

In Thursday's eighth at Del Mar, 11-1 Harbor Code disputed pace, led in stretch and won. Victory results in a single ticket payout of $476,322 in 50-cent pick five. He was the only runner covered. There is a carryover of $38,384 in Friday's $1 pick six

Mad that the only runner covered in the 8th and final leg won nothing to see here just move on and keep giving us ur cash

I have no personal knowledge of anything regarding this except reading the comments on twitter by punters who follow it closely the general consensus is that nobody believes this story and basically it's a scandal involving the track and whoever is running the bots allowing very late bets into the pool and how then the only runner left on the ticket in the last race at 11-1 was giving an uncontested win i felt it was worth throwing it up.on here for anyone interested in these things for what it's worth

I’ve got no idea what the bet is. I presume it’s like our placepot only they have to get the winner from five races, or the ITV7? Has a full perm been placed to cover every outcome? Could it be that other tickets were wiped out before that leg or only a couple made it that far?

with that perm it's hard to believe they had only one pick in leg 5, more likely they had the lot covered.

It would piss you off if these late bets halted the price of your horse in seconds.

According to the posts they had only one horse covered in the last leg which won at 11-1 , this seems to be a proven fact , the journalist covering the story has asked for proof of the bets time stamped and how much of it was covering the 14 horse in the last race I was just curious when I came across it on twitter it definitely has a lot of American horse racing punters totally convinced it's a scam and apparently del mar has history of similar tales , as I said i just put it up for anyone interested or who might be more knowledgeable and able to explain it better

They only had one pick in the race cos they knew it would win

That appears to be the case very convenient

if they knew it would win why did it go off at 11-1?, funny way to land a touch needing the previous 4 winners too. All very odd.

Racetrack casinos working with bots probably took the lot I genuinely don't know but it certainly doesn't seem legit whatever happened anybodies guess for now at least
