He got boxed in in a five horse race at Sandown a few weeks ago and now does the same in a four horse race.

Maybe John and Thady will buy him a Ryanair ticket home. Buick had a mare earlier. Is no jockey good enough?

Rail undertaking always a tricky one, can easily go wrong - Doyle rode very clever on his, and knew he had the right to hold him in, no need to let him back out.

tricky with the traditional course layout ie today & tomorrow
it's not a big price imo he thought there was a cutaway like days 1-3

Laugh, just what I thinking "where's the cutaway when you need it?"

I don't think he would have won anyway, even with a clear run. I remember Ray Cochrane getting into a similar position in a four runner race at Newbury many years ago and Julian Wilson went nuts (clearly must have backed it). It was called Media something or other.

WD, that's the one Media Starguest. I remember because of course I had backed it. Julian Wilson's reaction on screen was priceless.

Keane was blaming the distance and the ground for the defeat of Cosmic Year. He even suggested coming back to 7f or a stiff 6f on good ground would suit Cosmic Year better.

What a load of codswallop? I'm not saying Cosmic Year would have won today; Cosmic Year beat Diego Venture 4.5 l with ease on good ground over 7f the last time they met. Today Cosmic Year (8f) was nearly 2l behind Diego Venture - a turnaround of 6.5l; the winning times of other races indicated the ground was drying out.

Boxed-in and traffic, Mr Keane!
