I rather like them so far - especially having a proper timescale along the bottom, and being able to change the timescale - it was interesting to change the view to "in play" during a race and just see the price changes in play across the full width of the graph and not scrunched into the right-hand half-inch.
Not convinced by the colour scheme though. |

the proper timescale is a good addition, makes price movements much clearer than just guessing

Generally an improvement but the graph isn't entirely accurate on 'all time' without zooming in fully when looking at test match market...not sure why that would be but it's certainly a flaw.

not available on gruss yet?

I liked the graph the way it was. Change has just complicated the info. Too much unnecessary info now. I would like to know what time period the old graph was showing us
|
|
By:
Also the price and volume lines should be shown in different colours say blue / black. Now they merge together too much
|

I agree on the colours thing. On the other point - not sure I get it - what's not to like about having a real timescale and being able to pick the timespan you are looking at?

I'm only referring to horse racing and just talking from personal point of view. I can understand that the different time spots will give some people what they want and will be of academic interest particularly but I believe for the time being that the previous single graph siuited me better but it is early days with the new graphs.
For the time being I am working on the basis that the previous single graph represented what is now called the ALL- TIME graph. Do you think that is correct. Can anyone confirm ? |
|
By:
I think the previous graph was all-time, but no idea if the timescale was linear - it managed to pack in (eg) 2 minutes of in-play for a Flat race at the right-hand side while the rest of the graph showed 24ish hours of pre-play, so I suspect not.

I guess someone at Betfair with a bigger brain than me thinks it is added useful info. Maybe it will be as I get used to it but for now the change has thrown me. Who likes change ???

By:
I get what you mean - every time I get a new phone or a software update it is frustrating dealing with difference.
But I guess either BF get "why do they not invest in the Exchange?" or "why are they changing things?"? |

Is it just me or are these graphs not accurate to the traded figures?
Not sure what's going on but every time I check they are wrong...example, traded figure shows 48 matched for a few quid yet graph shows all time high of 30. Am I missing something? |
|
By:
It looks like they are not charting small amounts matched at extremes of price.
Agree that the colours need more contrast. Annoyingly, on markets like Tennis, they default to the 3h view, when next to nothing happens often in that time frame. |
|
By:
How would this best be done?
If a single dot/pixel on the graph (say in 24 hour view) represents 15 minutes of time, which price in that period do you plot? The highest price matched, the lowest, the average? All of them? |
|
By:
So looking at a few graphs, these outlying spikes for small money, do show when you zoom in enough.

i didnt think it would take long before they became fecked.

Yep. Rubbish graphs now
