draw did it for the viper. tried to get over early doors, couldn't. chance gone.
stats since 2015 on 7f races in galway show high won 9 and low won 9..3 mid.
They put the stalls on the far rail which opens up the inside
There are a few myths at galway concerning the draw.
Talking to a well known face in Irish and English racing last night and he said half the time you dont know as a jockey where the stalls are going to be placed or if the withdrawals are going to be advantageous until you get in your actual stall.
I think he has a point. Where do they tell you before hand where the stalls are going to be situated before the meeting starts ?. It makes a massive difference at Galway over 7f.
