FRAX, for those that remember the oss...   'Gerry Gallbladder • November 20, 2011 12:06 PM GMT
1980's Sandown or Kempton (can't recall exactly), Frax, Willie Carson riding for Cumani with 7 stone 11 pounds or thereabouts. Horse won 5 lengths pulling a cart but was thrown out for a really minor infringement. Still irks me even now!'

Grandaughter and I had Jerk Chicken in Ginger Beer batter with a good portion of Fries, Coleslaw, Mango Aioli and BBQ sauce today at £14.50.  Excellent for racecourse food.  Will try the Fish and Chips tomorrow and report back. Our Sussex village chippy is amazing so have a good benchmark (Medium Cod and Chips £13.50).

Had fish n chips in Clifden, Galway, not
Far from Ballybrit,  On a visit there recently
at 22.50, For two small pieces, and frozen chips

In fact most places charge 22 or there abouts, hmmmm!!!

Avoid this place, BnB’s were 120 to 140 for
A room in a 50 yo cold bunge a low

Stayed at Foyles Hotel 140 for a old smelly room
The entire town is a total rip off. It’s 40 mins to racetrack

I went to Galway once (no racing on) and I must admit it did have a good vibe. I enjoyed it but certainly wouldn't go there when racing is on (as I wouldn't with Cheltenham, Liverpool these days).

There are far too many "festivals" coined by the bookies' stooges. Personally, only Cheltenham, Royal Ascot, Goodwood and York are the ones qualified, and with the right credentials.

When asked for his analysis of the St Leger, Willie Carson said Moon Madness could not win. 'It is only a handicapper.' Fúck off Willie.
