Around the loop at Windsor as well.  Stupid stupid ride, but even then had Marquand challenged wider he might still have got away wuth it.

The fav was a Yak even Lester would have struggled with!!

it was treading water with a 2 to go,.......jumping out in front, with no cover it would have emptied way before the line imho.

i could be wrong mind, but a lot of Haggas 2 year old often look clueless and are way too short, not that i laid the horse.

The standard of flat jockeys at an all time low IMO.
Imagine Eddery,Cauthen or Piggott sitting last in a Windsor maiden ?

You must have forgotten the day when Lester was 7/2 to go through the card at Yarmouth and won none including odds on shots Simon, no jockey would have done much better on the Yak in that race!!

Its a 3yo Aberdonia.

oh well...haha, tbf, only his second run, hard to train, ran like a clueless 2 year old, which as i said, a large minority of Haggas one's seem to do, to my eye, and they are definitely too short whether they win or not.

The Godolphin horse at Southwell looked a similar type....From memory Buick was closer to the pace, and the horse emptied 1 and a half out...

I think William likes to wrap his horses up in cotton will and not overly use whip on them so his jockeys are under instruction but I think William could ease this a bit if u look at o brien he runs his horses hard and they  get plenty of whip , Maureen is same she doesn't like the whip been over used and obviously u get instances like tonight when this is case

I notice too marquand this season he is not bothered much riding out for place

Young falling rode an odds on shots at Redcar round 1/7 if recall and it won easy but he eased it down considerably and nearly got done but in the interview he was clear that haggis had him under orders to give it easy race sk it's not easy for the jockey when u have trainer telling u to win but go easy on horse and as result u will get instances like tonite

It's shame marquand is limited to whip by trainer as he is very strong , he can open up a horse with whip better than most when let bit Like Christy Roche when he was riding

I haven’t noticed AOB horses getting “plenty of whip”.

Well they do and run often if u look at that Wotton Bassett horse that broke its maiden at gal tonite, first day up in new market maiden moore hit it 4 or 5 times if that was haggis horse it would be hand and heels and no whip that's the difference

When aidan rode in bumpers as young fella it wasn't adverse to open one up with severe lashes
By:

When: 28 Jul 25 21:38
U could see tonite at wind marquand was under instruction to settle horse and let it come home in it's own time , if it wins it wins no harm done and will improve handicap mark

ffs Mics don’t exaggerate.  He TAPPED it with the whip twice and rubbed it on the horse about a dozens times.  lol.
