cistern's broke, the X-matcher weighted in favour of the backer(?), not the layer(X), or does it mysteriously go to a.n.other. Unless you know what the backer got we can only speculate. Someone else(?) is accumulating.

longbridge, I was referring to X-matcher and best execution and if it's weighted to favour backers (v layers) or someone else completely!
Is Betfair “active” in these markets/are Betfair running a bot? Matching customers bets is what Betfair does. When there is a bet request with Cross-matching, Betfair looks at all the customer bet requests it could be matched against, not just opposing bets on the same selection. As part of the cross-matching process, Betfair uses an internal account which acts as a counterparty to the bets being cross-matched. |

One things for certain their horse racing profits haven't been sustained from commission/EF charges on dwindling liquidity in the markets so something doesn't add up.

i clicked a fiver at 1000 mebbe 40yds out..it was only 1/2L down but wasnt gona get there...fill and kill after 0.5 so my money isnt lying there for someone to snaffle.

rico the trouble with that is you are not taking on a punter head to head, you are taking on the X-matcher/those that are closing positions etc.

im well aware of who is matching me swifty..999 times out of 1000 i click to lay £5 @1000 i get 20 bets of under 5p and £4.60 @1000 matched regardless of the price on screen which id frequently less than 100.
but on this occasion a punter has clicked to bet the winner less than 0.5 of a sec after my lay asking for 28 and gets the lot done @1000. of course the bet reference will confirm its authentic. |

I had a total of £7 matched at average 745.71, inside the last 50 yards.
Submitted at 28 so the only money there was 110 and the 1000. |
