well done them,  shows importance of immigration. Be no racing if reliant on indigenous population .

I'm sure some of the "journos" at the Racing Post could facilitate and learn on the job. Nepotism and cronyism are the quickest way to any destruction of an entity in a competitive arena.

I would tend to agree Morpeth, just hope they are getting paid a true rate.

The whole point of allowing immigration is to suppress labour costs (or wages).

"to suppress labour costs or wages".

Yep, in the short term but UK Plc is paying back in buckets full in the future eg a care worker could enter UK Plc on a 5-year visa paying a one-time fee; no access to the Benefit System except during Covid in this period; their kiddos can attend schools and nhs for free.

Post this the care worker can apply and will get Indefinite Leave To Remain; a backdoor for low-skilled foreign workers. And, the care home owners (again mainly foreigners) exploiting the immigration system to the hilt with bogus application and sponsorship. This is mainly South Asian specific.

A 5-year "paid" sacrifice for a lifetime gain. No wonder the bill for our welfare state is ever-increasing and probably unsustainable soon.

Intresting how tracks work, clearly looking for the cheapest options when having to pay, but not worried about charging extravagant Admission / food and drink prices.

I think greed is the byword for everything in Britain these days. Designed to keep the working class down

I remember when the Oirish were seen as cheap labour, they have now taken over the racing channels as 'experts'. It was their 'tarmac' division that botched Newbury's parade ring a few years ago.

More muslims, more dinghy's, anything to suppress the Oirish.

I always see the same lads on course via ATR...must be a full time job for them. Gotta be worse jobs but has to be minimum wage surely?

Was the same at the footy the other night in Switzerland.

Once in it becomes a closed shop, the same happened at Thief-row with the baggage handlers. A friend tried for a job, only friends and family joined those already there. That’s what he told me anyway.

It happens in a lot of industries.

As I’ve seen some wearing head gear I’d say that the pay isn’t bad at Newbury. For anyone who knows the Cast system they don’t do shat jobs, that’s left for others.

It's got fck all with cost....There is legislation on pay rates..it's to do with reliability...the reckless white working class are workshy and totally unreliable as most employers will testify too.

Sick of cnts on here who are utterly clueless...

Racing itself and farming  is very much like it, keeping it in the family. Son following on from father…

Like my dad said, money goes to money.

It’s true us nationals don’t want such work, think we’re too good, I don’t think that it’s a bad gig. No brain work involved, being outside can have a crack and whistle while you “work”!

A farmer I know said he couldn’t get good young workers, asked one who’d been to agricultural college who thought that he was above digging thistles out of the field so that the cows never chewed them!

Remember we’re giving the same lazy spunkbubbles the vote! Laugh

It's a nepotic and cronyistic selection system. The London Tube is the same, and so is The BBC. It's who you know, not what you know will get you the gig.
