Remember putting some stats up about this race years ago, seem to remember either a high or low draw was preferable to horses drawn in centre and Hannon had a good record but may have been his dad. Get some big priced winners maybe Logi Bear and Irish Fighter as a couple of guesses, wouldn't spend much time on this race myself.

It's 14 years since a horse drawn in single figures won this race and even longer since a maiden won but I've had a small bet at a big price on Ambishio. His debut was promising and the form has worked out pretty well. Still green second time out he broke quickly from a wide draw and was only caught close to the line by the odds on favourite after drifting left-handed in the last furlong. It may be significant that this is a very rare runner in this race for his trainer. I don't expect him to have the speed to make the running but being a half-brother to Marine Wave I'm hoping he will be keeping on in the final furlong. The main negative is that he has to concede weight to nearly all his rivals but 33 or 40/1 4 places, 50 to win on the exchange, worth a go I'm hoping. Does keep getting nibbled at at the bigger prices which is encouraging.

Found my old post on this race was from 2017, i also noted that Kevin Ryan usually targeted a horse or two for the race and had a lot of big priced placed horses, so ill have a nicker EW on Big Fun from 15.

Jinxed by the draw.
Probably wins if he has the rail and not requiring the weaving in and out, looking for a run.
