My thoughts exactly, horse was pulling for its head early doors.
Stamina is the horses forte, has won over 14f, why hold up in a 12f race? |

The stewards are only there to make it look like the sport is being policed. In Australia or Hong
Kong there would have automatically been a detailed enquiry. The handicap system here dictates to trainers that want a handicapper to win that they have no option but to bend the rules! |

just looked at the race. been pulling hard in previous races in those lesser races off a lower mark you can let them have their head and do too much because you've got plenty in hand. As you step up in grade you want and probably need to teach the horse to settle. Winner is an improver. Would have been hard to give it a stone with any ride.

Thanks Howard. He has another 3yo taking on some elders (again) on Saturday night. Analogical, 3.45. Donny. Either leads or up with pace. Interesting to see how it runs its race.
