Mishriff was a pretty ordinary horse after 4 runs. went from 101 after his 5th as a 3yo to 121 inside 12 months. I'd keep an eye on this horse. I hope they throw him into a decent handicap next time.

Donegal, ordinary ?? 101 after 4 runs Shocked
Kia is spending millions and 90% won’t make it to 101??

Sir marks will be lucky to have 5 rated 101 out of 80 ???

I am well rebuked P. You were correct to highlight my stupidity. Unrated after 4 runs. Got his 101 after running in the Middle east. Won the Newmarket Stakes but I am unclear as to whether he was 101 going in, or coming out. Either way, my description of "ordinary" was a tad over critical! I think I was trying to point out that he went from being relatively modest (in a Listed/G3 way) to  world beater very quickly. I think this horse has LOADS left. I suspect he may run in one of those big 7f handicaps at Ascot /York or something. Whatever, he will be a bet for me. I think Murphy was at pains to kick him out to get a higher rating than 80 + uplift

Ok Donegal, I’d pay a fortune for something rated 101
Especially a stayer ?? Used to have your namesake in the yard,
Hard as nails he was, won a sweepehes at Newbury, beating
Ekbalco , lots of good uns behind, for auction, badsworth boy, heighlîn
The zarevich and many others, was off it before turning in, fought
Off everything that came to him, though little bastard

!!!!!! P. I've had a drink and always watch it when I am happy! Just done so.  1982 amazingly. There are 2 horses made a difference to my life punting. Him and see More Business ( a previous user name). I was deep deep in debt at the time studying to be a barrister (got there in the end!) but owed £££££. Backed it @ 16/1 AP and kept on. Though an Everton fan I went to Chelsea v Liverpool in the FA Cup that day and watched in a pub just b4 kick off in a pub surrounded by Chelsea fans. Gave it big biftas over the last.........in a broad scouse accent........thought I would never get to enjoy the £. Everyone came up to shake my hand!! Also had a saver on Ekbalco but God I needed DP. Great to hear you were in the Kelleway yard.  And Liverpool gotr beat!!  My mate, who never bets, had £20 on DP and I went to a party that night with a bottle of Scotch and £340 in an envelope for him. He still talks about it. Great days. Good luck chap.

yes he was one tough horse that. Ek deffo headed him. The Voice got the photo wrong in his call............but I knew he'd won! david Goulding on Ek. I saw Francombe at the Peter O'Sullivan lunch last December and , after a good few glasses, he passes me. Stopped him to say how important DP was and he stayed for 5 minutes chatting to me. I got the impression he had a few £ on himself via others of course. He was expecting a conversation about Sea Pigeon and the others etc etc. He was quite happy chatting about DP.I was a barrister for ages. Criminal. Switched to prosecuting only in 1986 and retired 2015.  Just punt and drink now. All the best chap. Think your lot are buying well. We'll be ok with 10th I think

Big time this year, not sure buying at top end??

Isak on radar too if you believe the stories, not sure bout
Than one either?

10th, think you get a nose bleed, up to 10th

Did you know DP was well beat in the sun alliance the previous year
Gaye chance won it, who finished well him him at Newbury.

Remember saying how poor Francome was in a finish, at Newbury
Looked like a claimer Laugh

forgotten the year b4. That was the first day I went to Cheltenham. My first bet was Gaye Chance. Willie Wumpkins won the Coral Golden Hurdle I think for 3rd time. Anaglogs daughter was backed in the Champion Chase by everyone on the track. Drumgora got up on the run in. Total silence. Had my mate , who drove us, been breathalysed on the back to Liverpool he'd only be getting out now. daft but happy days. I fancy us a bit to get a nosebleed tbh. May have a little punt on us on the handicap +33 or top half. Think you lot are doing right trying to buy off top shelf. You may have this to yourself if the Gooners don't get a forward.
